The V shaped highlights were cut out of the hip shape and ironed to the fabric before inking the hips. Essentially the freezer paper templates are my resists.

Again, thanks for reading and the questions.
NancyNancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05025141996936933302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575160302983217980.post-86507124725936997522011-01-13T16:42:10.122-05:002011-01-13T16:42:10.122-05:00Nancy, did you use some sort of resist to leave th...Nancy, did you use some sort of resist to leave the V shapes on the hips unpainted or just used very careful painting???Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06958600772900113742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575160302983217980.post-83684368281545640532011-01-13T16:39:56.320-05:002011-01-13T16:39:56.320-05:00This is really coming along great can't wait t...This is really coming along great can't wait till the next installment!!Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06958600772900113742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575160302983217980.post-61229020696531574492011-01-12T19:21:17.540-05:002011-01-12T19:21:17.540-05:00This is just like watching an artist at work!
