Seed Play on Exhibit in Chapel Hill NC at the NC Botanical Gardens

Beauty of a Berry 24" x 24"

Eighteen pieces from my series, Seed Play, are in a solo exhibit at the North Carolina Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill NC. This is such a delightful exhibition gallery in the Education Center specifically dedicated to botanical art. The exhibition is open to the public and free, although donations are welcome. The exhibition runs through February 26.

I have both large and a selection of small pieces in the exhibition.

They have a lovely gift shop that is well stocked for the garden lover. They also have a collection of quilts done specially for the Education Center and wonderful outdoor sculpture and art.

Please let me know if you can see the exhibit. Would love some feedback on it.

  1. Nancy, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the book "PUSH Stitchery." I got it in the mail yesterday and I'm looking through the interesting work in it. Your generosity is appreciated.

    1. Liz, do enjoy the book. I love my copy and read it cover to cover the first 24 hours I had it.
I was a stitcher long before I was a quilter.

  3. Hi Nancy:

This afternoon my husband and I went to the Rocky Mount Arts Center to see the Handcrafted Exhibition. You work is well displayed and is drawing lots of interest especialy from two of the people who curated the exhibition. I attempted to stand in for you and explain your history as an artist and explain the way you work. Now that I am home I have checked your website and blog to see how well I did. Not bad!

  4. Judith, thank you so much!! You are so kind.

I wish I could have been there for the opening. Were you there for the awards? My friend, Debbie Langsam, won second place last year with a quilted piece. Love to see fiber well represented in art and fine craft shows.

My husband and I are planning to go to the exhibition when we drop the show at the NCBG.

Thank you for letting me know.
    Nancy
