Quilting Arts in Stitches, Vol. 6 |
Quilting Arts In Stitches, volume 6 Blog Tour
Hi, I am very excited to be one of the artists with articles in Volume 6. Some of my favorite quilt artists are giving insights into their processes for creating unique and wonderful art work. My article is called: Dense Echo Quilting and features photos and my very first video of my quilting process. My
article covers the creating of a new piece designed on the pomegranate.
Doing this at the end of the year, this wonderful exotic fruit caught
my eye. After quilting, I further embellished with some hand stitching.
You can download this e magazine from the store or through iTunes or your iPad.Store link:
As a bonus, we are giving away some of the new tools featured in the magazine each day. So follow along each day and leave a comment at the blogs to have a chance to win the products. While the products are brand new and never used, they have been removed from plastic packaging to photograph better.
I am giving away Betty Bands by Steady Betty (adjustable bands that fit
around your palms). So leave a comment here if you would like to win these. They look like a serious tool for people doing precise quilting of any kind.
You can learn more about the articles and their authors this week on the blog tour. You can go back and see earlier ones, and leave comments there as well. Tomorrow Tracy Stilwell will be featured on the tour.
Here is the line up for the week:

Congratulations on your article! That's very exciting.
ReplyDeleteYour video accompanying your article was most instructive, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting idea - bands instead of gloves.
ReplyDeleteI loved it! So exciting to be able to see the videos as well as the articles, so thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello Nancy- congratulations again on your article being included in the Stitch E-Mag!
ReplyDeleteI looked at the Betty Bands and I had never heard of them before. But I do love to do dense machine quilting so they sound like they'd be a wonderful alternative to the gloves I usually wear. I'd love to try them.

Hmmmm...Betty bands look interesting. They remove the restrictions of gloves but give you more control. More control means ability to do very precise stitching. This beginner would like these, my stitching needs a LOT more control. Trying to develop skills....
ReplyDeleteYour echo quilting is stunning! So glad Lindsey's blog clued me in to this blog tour. I'd love to win those Betty Bands.
